In celebration of Public Service Recognition Week, designated during the first week of May to honor the people who serve as federal, state, county, local, and tribal government employees, City of Rehoboth Beach offices will close at 12:30 pm Wednesday, May 8, so that city employees and their families can enjoy a spring picnic.
Acting City Manager Evan Miller says that the picnic event is “our way of expressing gratitude for employees’ hard work and dedication to the city throughout the year. This is a chance to acknowledge their commitment and selflessness in improving the lives of our residents.”
The event also will serve as a kick off to the upcoming busy summer season.
