The Brimming Horn Meadery near Milton will host Mead, Merchants & Music from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 4, at 28615 Lewes Georgetown Hwy. The monthly event is held the first Sunday of the month from May through October. A Merchant’s Market will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with vendors selling local crafts and artisanal goods. Visitors will also enjoy live music by Al Frantic from 12:30 to 3 p.m., and Frantic Music Project’s Open Mic from 3 to 6 p.m. Mead and craft beer will be available in The Brimming Horn Meadery’s tasting room starting at 11 a.m. La Pinkeria Food Truck will be on site from noon to 9 p.m. The event is open to all ages and is free to attend.
Signups for the open mic will begin at 2:45 p.m. Solos, duos and small bands with original or cover music are welcome to this acoustic/electric event. Solo/duo acoustic sets begin at 3 p.m., with electric/trios/bands following the acoustic performers. Each set is up to two songs, no more than 10 minutes total. Backline is provided, including PA, microphones, stands, electric guitar and bass amp, and a drum kit. House musicians are available. Seating is limited; visitors should bring a folding chair.
