Man sought in Milton Valero robbery

Police are searching for a man they say robbed the Valero gas station near Milton Nov. 24.

The robbery happened about 11 a.m. at the gas station at the intersection of Route 1 and Deep Branch Road. Police said a man wearing a face covering entered the store and went behind the counter, demanding the clerk remove money from the registers. Police said the man then took the clerk’s car keys before fleeing with cash and the clerk’s car.

A short time later, troopers located the vehicle unoccupied in the area of New Hope Road in Ellendale. No one was injured during the incident.
