Fallen tree damages Angola-area home

A tree fell on a home near Angola Feb. 23, damaging the structure. 

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was called at 6:39 a.m. to a home on Blue Boulevard in the Shawn’s Hide-a-way development. Fire personnel found a tree had fallen on a home with a patient inside, officials said.

Emergency response crews evaluated the patient, officials said, and the homeowner was able to coordinate arrangements with a neighbor.

Officials said a tree fell onto the home and caused significant damage.
