New program will lower crop insurance premiums for eligible producers

The Delaware Department of Agriculture has officially launched the Delaware Agricultural Production Insurance Assistance Program in coordination with the USDA Risk Management Agency. This new program reduces premiums for 2025 crop insurance plans for producers who had an eligible plan in 2024. Car collision closes Route 24

A two-car crash closed Route 24 Feb. 24 at the intersection of Camp Arrowhead Road. Members of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company responded to the crash at 1:30 p.m. and found two cars had collided, officials said. Three people were taken to the hospital by RBVFC ambulances. Delaware State Police is investigating the cause of the crash. Westbound Route 24 was closed for about an hour.
