Fire damages Tower Hill home near Lewes

A fire Sept. 19 at a Lewes-area home caused mostly exterior damage, officials say.

The fire was reported at 9:17 p.m. at a single-family home in the Tower Hill neighborhood off New Road near Lewes. Firefighters from Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Slaughter Beach and Milton responded to find smoke coming from the home, officials said. Damage was mostly to the exterior of the garage and porch, officials said, and the fire was put out.
