NEW CASTLE – The New Castle Corporate Commons has a new tenant now that Griswold Home Care has celebrated its move to the facility from its previous home on Kirkwood Highway.
“This location offers us about 1,000 square feet more space than before and it’s all on one floor. Before, we were in an office park that was two levels and that just wasn’t very efficient from a team perspective,” Co-owner and CEO Carrie Gray told the Delaware Business Times.
Griswold Home Care of New Castle is the fifth largest home health provider in Delaware with 150 employees, right under the Griswold Home Health of Kent and Sussex. Gray also told DBT ahead of the ribbon cutting ceremony that her office had hired a new employee, increasing the productivity and workload out of the office and necessitating an easier flow for team members.
“We’re just really excited to be here in the Corporate Commons. Emory Hill is our landlord and they’ve been fantastic to work with and it’s a central location in New Castle County with easy access to every major route that we could need to take,” she said.
Her business, which she co-owns with her husband Patrick Gray, is just one franchisee of a larger corporation with locations across the country employing certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and caregivers to support elderly clients.
“Our parents and grandparents, in their process of aging, have needed some kind of caregiving in addition to what the family can provide. So we know how important this work is and we’re happy to be able to offer it to New Castle County,” she told DBT.
