Home burns in Pot Nets

The fire was reported about 6 a.m. at a home on Combe About Circle off Long Neck Road. Officials said occupants were attempting to put out the fire when responders from Indian River, Lewes, and Millsboro arrived.

About 70% of the structure was burning, officials said, and all occupants were outside of the home, but one person was burned. At the time, officials said, occupants reported that the fire may have started with the heater and spread into a bedroom.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating, and more information will be provided when available.
