Home burns in Pot-Nets Creekside

A home in Pot-Nets Creekside burned Nov. 30.

The fire was reported about 6 a.m. at a home on Come About Circle off Long Neck Road. Officials said occupants were attempting to put out the fire when firefighters from Indian River, Lewes and Millsboro arrived.

About 70% of the structure was burning, officials said, and all occupants were outside the home, but one person was burned. At the time, officials said, occupants reported the fire may have started at the heater and spread into a bedroom. 

The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating, and more information will be provided when available.
